Yay Gulliver!! What a sweet baby duck <3

WE HAVE A BABY I REPEAT WE HAVE A BABY!!!!!!

Not a double but still!!!

I was giving him a hand coming out and he seemed really eager to come out, so I made a hole for him and put him back, and he immediately kicked himself free and came out! Thank GOD the yolk was fully absorbed!

He’s kinda flailing around in there but I’m guessing that’s normal having been folded like a pretzel for 5 weeks?

Haven’t checked the others yet because I wanna make sure the temp and humidity are high enough while little Gulliver recovers. Yay little ducky!!

Are you going to set up a brooder at the other house? Gulliver isn't going to want to be left alone......

Have you checked the other eggs yet? They're gonna need O2 soon.

Congrats! I would start opening the other eggs, they should definitely be needing oxygen by now

Yup! He’s still in the bator fluffing up and I figured I’ll leave him where he is tonight because it’s really cold and nasty outside right now so its risky to move him now. Then tomorrow I’ll move him here. We have this little carrier we call our bird hospital for when we find injured wild birds so I figured I’d set that up with a microwave heat pack. That way he can hang out with me and the dogs can’t get at him. Cuz this house is super cold too so I think it’s risky to take him here right away. Better alone for a day or two than freezing to death I’d think haha. Going over there later to hang out and bond with him ^_^

I haven’t really chimed in since the beginning but I agree with above. By now they’ll need oxygen.

Make sure that carrier has been disinfected thoroughly
