If you use a bowl, fill it with a sponge or paper towels so the ducklings can’t drown in the bowl. We have seen it happen here on BYC, sadly. I never had it happen, but they turned my little cup over one time.

Oooooh good point! Hadn’t even thought of that. I bought marbles for the water dish so I’ll fill it with those.

Makes sense, just haven't quite figured out that part of the science yet lol. I was never good at temp problems in physics
