Double Yolk

How can I tell if one of the eggs that one of my hens is hatching a double yolk. She's been sitting on them long enough to see if there's anything inside when you candle them and one I thinl could be a double yolk. Anybody know to confirm it?

I think if you candle it you can see one or two yokes. I am not to the point of incubating/broody eggs yet, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

You should be able to see two distinct yolks ... or two embryos. Often the egg will be bigger than normal.

Ok, thanks. I saw something in one of my eggs so I wondered if it was a vein or a separation space between 2 yolks. Do the veins mean anything bad because I haven't seen them in any of my other eggs?
