Well Casanova my Chocolate Ancona is in eclipse but shows really no signs as far as colour loss but definitely molts out wings and all feathers in stages..

Maybe chocolate doesn’t really change like wild type colors. I have no idea. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Is this the male you were having hatching the eggs out with last year? I sure hope not, because he’s beautiful!

Good timing. I was looking at my Welsh Harlequin drakes today and thought, "You guys are a little rough in the feather department." It doesn't help that they are both in drake jail for serial spouse abuse.

Do you have room in your jail for a couple more? Mine are pushing their way toward a jail cell too.

I have two cells for solitary confinement and two drakes--sorry no room! When the molt starts and the testosterone storm subsides I hope they can go out on parole.
