Thanks guys! This is my first year with a drake, got him back in March. And I was shocked by the difference. At first I thought something was wrong and I started researching and found this thread lol, so learned something new

I had read about it, but hadn’t personally witnessed it until this year either. Glad we could help you out!
My drake looks so much like a couple of my girls now, it’s hard to tell them apart. Amazing transformation.

My boy just got his drake feathers...for the first time so I don't think he will be losing his this year.

My Runner drake Snoop lost his drake feather when he molted at age 1 and it never has come back.
