Dubbing

If you're going to show, you should invest in the Standard of Perfection. Next, I would suggest finding a breeder of Moderns who will help you get the "right" dub down. I'm a Poultry Science student as well, and I do not believe I could dub the bird correctly, since I am not as well acclimated with the modern or other game breeds as I should be.

oh and If dubbing will save pain later on I will do it in a heartbeat. especially if it is a bird I really like!!!

how ever my rooster will be living in the house!!!!I aint even supose to have chickens at all...a rooster will be a dead giveaway!!!

but that is beside the point! if I wanna show its got to be dubbed! are the rules for the state fair the same as for showing in a regular show?

I'm glad I got my answer before all the nonsence started. It seems this topic always has to defend itself. I often wonder why others who are against this always have to reply. The poster just wanted to have a few question answered. We all have our own way of doing things. If there is a post that I don't beleive in I just let it be. But thats just me. Have a great day.

Yes the roos are the only ones that need to be dubbed. Im not really sure how the hatchery would do it, (assuming that you are ordering chicks)

I can't speak for any specific state fair, but I would expect that most conduxt APA/ABA shows, which would require following the APA/ABA rules.

Sorry to say but you are wrong........You CAN NOT show the Old english Game Bantams without the cocks being dubbed
