Her mate (the last AH Mille fleur I'm ever having) was a stunning bird. Too bad I can't get fertile eggs from her

I almost placed an order on Ideal, but I’d really much rather have hatching eggs. I found a place thru Poultry Central, I’ve emailed and am awaiting a reply.

At quick glance, it looks like Welp has a 30 chick minimum, and do a mixed box color variety (which could be fun? I really like the black mottled too). And they are a little more expensive per chick. Ideal doesn’t have a minimum, so I might order some from them. I wish they sold hatching eggs! I am going to contact a member here that I got my originals from. She isn’t very active but I can also contact her thru FB.
And I’m ashamed to admit, I don’t know the breed standard for Golden Neck. Welp’s pic of the male looks a lot lighter colored. I thought darker was better, my darker male is much prettier, but I’ll research that too!

Is that an eye ulcer she has, or just reflection? My little parrot has it in both eyes. Amazingly she still sees fine. The vet said when something happens bilaterally, its a congenital defect.. could be genetic as well. Perhaps its best not to breed her.

The white one is where she got pecked in the eye by a mean hen.

She is pretty blind though, her other eye is blind too with something from a year or so ago. She sees mainly light vs dark I think and maybe some of her far side

Yes they do! And their shipping charge is very reasonable too. I had the cart filled out with 8 chicks for a total of $55. That’s not really bad at all. I still may go that route.

Im very tempted by their bantam easter eggers.. and then might as well throw in a couple more silkies, and MF D'uccles, and before you know it, I've got another full flock!
