D'uccle Thread

im really impressed with mt healthy. the 4 d'uccles i got from them have really heavy foot feathering the hens have bnice big beards and huge bull necks. The coloring isnt as dark as i would like it to be though. The rooster also has a little bit of wattle showing and to much white in the tail. I am impressed with how nicely they carry themselves.

I have a 3 wk old millie that squats down when ever I touch its tail.

Silly little birds. I'm hoping to get some pictures of mine up once they are all a little older. They barely have any spots on them. I can see where they are coming in but they aren't showing yet.

anyone know whats going on with mstricer she hasnt been on for a while, can't get a hold of her.
I was wondering the same thing. I hope everything is okay.

Has anyone noticed before if, as the hen ages, she lays larger eggs? Some of my banty hens are about two now, and have been laying larger, white eggs, almost full size but more torpedo shaped. my large hens are all brown, green or blue egg layers, so it has to be banties. Anyone else's mature hens lay larger eggs?

This is the wrong place to post this, But I just wanted to share that one of my ewes just lambed 20 minutes ago. She's 7 years old, so we were really worried about her delivery. But, everything went great, and we ended up with two gorgeous baby girls!!

Oooohh! Congrats. I'm glad everything went O.K. You're lucky; It looks pretty nice whereever you're at. It is about 5 degrees here, and that is without the windchill!
