I'm so jealous!!! I can't find any local and ordered 10 from a hatchery but they won't ship until April 30th.
 
I can't see it good. Broken feather tips can be from over grooming; but if the feathers have chewed off little squares it is a particular kind of lice. A feather eater takes the whole feather.That sucks about missing the show!
 
SO bummed. What could've done this? I was getting ready to take her to a show..

Got a rooster? Could that be early mating damage? I don't have a roo with my d'uccles, and the roo that has girls doesn't have spots to show up like this (I don't tend to see it until they are becoming bare). It' looks like only her spots have been taken. Sorry I don't have any better ideas and sorry about the show.

Our five porcelain chicks (about two weeks old now) are feathering out fast. Can't wait to see the feathered pattern emerge, because so far I'm very impressed....reminds me very much of moonstone. Will post pic later :D
