D'uccle Thread

What did you use? Did you soak them in some strong dishsoap water? Bummer on the dirt, glad the mites are gone!
a combo of seven dust, vegetable oil, promythium (sp how ever you spell that lol), vet rx, and petroleum jelly. it was the oil that the dirt stuck to.

Well they are still young and I see a bit of fuzz on the pullets cheeks. None on the roo though. They won in the D'uccle section of the fair so im not guessing their booted bantams.

They show pretty clearly at a young age their cheek muffs and beards, so you might have Booted Bantams. In my State Fair this year, a Booted Bantam was entered as a d'Uccle. I don't know if anyone caught the mistake as I was only there early in the morning on the first day. Booted Bantams are awesome, too.

a booted bantam is a d'uccle without a beard some times even d'uccles have chicks that are beardless and they are classified as a booted bantam. d'uccles must have a beard again if it doesn't have a beard it is indeed a booted bantam

Coffee... not the best pictures but got a few. Of the three d'uccle, the gold is surely a roo, but not sure on the blacks.

Can you get pictures of their faces? Sorry Parker, I think the Gold is a boy. Let's see who guesses right

Are all D'uccles supposed supposed to have beards?
