Duck Breed Focus - Saxony

Hi Lordess,
I have 1 drake and 2 Saxony duck hens I was lucky enough to find at a 4-H farm in Melbourne, FL. I’ve not been able to locate any other . Was wondering if you could help me find a few more females.

Shipping should be fine. I’ve ordered from them multiple times and never had a problem with chicks. You could also get an adult pair/trio etc...

Yeah, I can’t find her online either although she does pop up on her local farmers market Facebook. Email seems to be the best way to reach her right now. Maybe she’s too busy now that she is on the Livestock Conservancy board?

My Saxony boy and girls are 3 months and continue to do well! They are such a fun bunch, I love their personalities. Very distinct and very different from each other!

Oh my goodness.. I have two Saxony ducks..they came from Metzer farms..they were supposed to be hen and drake...one is clearly a hen..the other is a little runt...never developed...actu is my avatar...that’s at 2 mth..still looks the same..he..she..weighs 1 1/2 lb..despite kitten food, etc...still not full feathered at 8 mths old..actually has no wing feathers...and still makes peep noises...I thought he..she was a girl at girl due to her size..but then she had no quack, etc..and the sisters coloring is different..so now he is little Lou...his sister is Louise....let me show pictures and you you explain why they are both buff, but different color heads if they are supposed to be girls ...Lou is the lighter colored one
