Duck egg pip too smal?!

My two ducks got picked off by a fox 28 days ago. I had some eggs so I put them in an incubator and one has already pipped! It happened over 12 hours ago and no progress. I would not be worried but the pip is so so so small I am worried that it is not getting any oxygen. Here is a photo and please give me advice! Should I maybe pull back some shell?

It's ok, completely normal. Ducks are very very slow hatcher.

Probably stay that way for a day. Also very important not the open incubator when they are actively pipping.

They'll take 2 or even 2 1/2 days from external pip to hatch.

Call ducks are the only ones I've found that need assistance. I've made plenty of mistakes in the begging in a panic thinking something was wrong because they didn't hatch at the same rate as chicks.

These are Cayugas so hopefully everything will go smoothly. There are 4 possible ducklings!

They should hatch fine, just keep track of pip time and progress. Hatching ducks has taught me lots of patience
