Duck experts needed...

I would put him in a bath tub full of water so he can swim and exercise those legs. He needs that. I have no clue what's causing the lack of feathers and bare skin.

The amount of niacin in chick starter will probably be about 30 ppm, in a duck starter should be about 50 ppm, and in turkey/game bird starter it should be close to 70 ppm. All of my ducklings are fed a turkey stater, so I don't need to give extra niacin.

No, not that kind of thrush....Birds get bare bellies and a rash....I know Chickens can get it.....

What kind of thrush are you at talking about? And when your chickens got it, how did you treat it?

Thrush? Isn't that esophageal?

If chickens really is referring to "yeast", I guess it's possible. Yeast can occur anywhere, but are most common in the digestive tract. Loss of feathering and skin irritation is probably due to the fact that this guy spends most of his day on his belly.

The lameness he shows in the video makes me think that something in the area of that scab is still bothering him. holm25's suggestion of warm water baths is a great idea.

lol.....I have never had it on my Birds....Only have heard of it..........I only suggested it because I seen it before.....That is something to call a Vet about........
