Duck gasping

My duck has been gasping and coughing since yesterday and we don't know if we need to find Clavamox or just wait to see if things clear up. I posted in this thread because it seems to be very related to the symptoms originally described. Here is a video link of her. Is this what your duck was doing? Video is not loading for me, but her symptoms seem very similar to a egg bound hen. Can you feel her abdomen area? How does it feel?

Shes beautiful, is she laying? Is a vet an option? Have you looked in her mouth and felt along her neck for an obstructions?

She could be egg bound but the coughing doesn't sound right with it.

She has been laying every day since early March including yesterday, but did not lay today. She is not panting like during summer time heat, but rather a slow motion of her bill opening and closing. She makes a squeak nose every few minutes or so. I will go in for further physical examination and report back. Thank you!

I had a duck once, she would tip her head back and gasp constantly. When she breathed in, her chest would cave in. She died.

I don't hear any coughing, She's seems to have labored breathing which is a common sign of being egg bound. Excessive amounts of time in the nesting box is what makes me think she might possibly be egg bound.

Are you providing a calcium supplement? What is her diet?
