Here's what we have now :) cheeping and wiggling like crazy!

Thanks!! Poor guy hasn't rested since this morning! Hes wiggling and working so hard. How long does it usually take before the veins are done? I've been keeping him moist.. everytime I talk to or look at him he chirps so loud! I think he can see me through that stuff.. he thinks I'm his mom :)!!

Ravyn probably will have a more educated guess at how long, but they still look pretty bold to me, so unfortunately he may be a little while longer. But it looks like you're doing a great job! Mom!! :D

As they start to recede, you can spread more and more membrane away from his face, just be careful not to rupture any. The freer you get his(her) head, the more he will wiggle out, but let him push out on his own time. He's finishing absorbing the blood and yolk, and we don't want him out until he's done.

:fl what are you going to name this little fighter?

Thank you! Hes been named Hubert for about a week LOL. If he turns out to be a she later in life I will be surprised! Maybe it's my motherly instinct ;). How often should I check on him through the night? So far he's doing all the work of getting that membrane moved from his face on his own.. hopefully nature will do its work from here on out. I have noticed when I go to re-wet him he chirps super loud and fights hard to get out. I'm not hurting him am I??

No, you're not hurting him... he's just reacting to your stimuli... it may not be until morn before he's ready... just check on him before you go to bed and first thing in morn... ya never know, he might surprise you...

And WV said it... great job, Mom! :thumbsup
