good news! Do you have a brooder ready? The duckling is fine in there for a while, but once fully dry and fluffed up, you'll need a brooder.

Looks like you got things under controlSo my 6 year old duck went broody, sat on eggs. One is hatching and it’s pretty chilly and rainy today. How long can she be gone and should I go get the baby? The nest is inside our duck coop. I have never hatched eggs before so I am panicking. Plus she is in with the general population since she chose their coop to nest in. Any words of advice are greatly appreciated
She’s a welsh harlequin that is 6 years old and first time mom. I don’t know if any of the rest of these eggs will hatch, but I could really use one more to keep the one who just did company! What breed is she? Is she a first time mum?
I expect the hatching startled her and she has abandoned them. I definitely agree with your choice to take the babies away.
Heading out to the garage to build a brooder now. I have everything, it’s just not currently assembled.good news! Do you have a brooder ready? The duckling is fine in there for a while, but once fully dry and fluffed up, you'll need a brooder.
You guys. The incubator is a mess after this duck. Do I clean it out? Will the eggs be okHeading out to the garage to build a brooder now. I have everything, it’s just not currently assembled.

Unfortunately it was a bad egg that exploded making the mess. Oh you guys, the smell in my house, I might have to move. I didn’t check any of the eggs before putting them in the machine, I just wanted them warm, especially the baby.If nobody has external pip yes you can wipe it down with water only
Don’t use chemical with eggs going back in
