Duck leg/foot pain relief options?

I was desperately searching for a place to ship it today and didn't even think about ordering it at the one reputable place I know of and that way it will be in the que to be shipped Monday morning. I tend to get frantic in stressful times and obviously don't think very clearly. I really appreciate you
 
Also, I sent her the pictures I shared here and she agreed with @casportpony. I wouldn't have had any idea of what to say to the vet without that help. Thank you all so much. Hopefully Honey can overcome, heal, and get back to being a duck that loves hanging out with and leading her flock around. She really misses spending her days with my Buff Duck, TomTom (a girl with a masculine name) and Drake, my jumbo Pekin Drake. Every night, they stick their bills in her cage and she touches their bills almost like the way we hug or hold hands. It's so touching and makes me tear up.

It's obvious that Honey isn't giving up and I'm not giving up on her either. We'll do everything we can as I owe her that, at the very least.
 
Just wanted to share an update about Honey. She still has swelling in the joint, but she does seem to be improving. Yesterday she started to get very vocal, which is her normal. She is a very loud duck and always has been. Before, she'd stay in the duck house and I'd have to take food and water to her all throughout the day. Yesterday she started to venture out of the duck house and into their eating area (its a play yard that forms a small semi circle in front of their house that we have for them to eat before lock up at night, so they don't eat and get back on the pond) to get food/water, lay in the sun, listen and sometimes visit with her flock when they come to the fencing. Her poops are getting bigger, like normal. Her appetite is getting even stronger. She is also getting around a little better, but it's still obvious that something is wrong. I suspect that it's going to take time, which I am happy to give her. She's very anxious to get back to being a busy free range duck and she does seem to get very lonely at times throughout the day. Today is her last day on Clavamox, as she takes the last pill tonight. Here's hoping Amtyl will be effective so her improvement continues.
 
The skin around her joint did look tight because of the amount of swelling. The skin doesn't really look tight now, but there is absolutely definite swelling still. Do you think I should still do the epsom salt soaks? If so, maybe once or twice a day? The vet told me to keep her in a 3x3 area heavily cushioned with lots of pine shavings. Their house is larger than that but it's not huge. It's a child's plastic "step 2" play house, that's been modified for optimal space (counter, sink, etc was removed) and frames made to go around windows and then covered with 1/2 in hardware cloth and a lock installed on the door (just sharing in hopes of providing the best idea of it). I had to lock her in there because I feel like she needs some sunshine and to spend time outside. The area outside the house is a little larger than a kiddie pool. Do you feel like I am giving her too much space? We locked the boys up on Sunday and let her out with TomTom (her super sweet and small bestie) to give Honey time to swim around the pond (vet told me that I could let her swim for 10-15 minutes, a few times a day). As soon as she got in, she was splashing around like crazy and would go for really deep and long dives, which scares me because she would completely disappear, but she LOVED it. She wouldn't come off the pond so we had to put the boat in to get her out. I believe she did too much that afternoon, as the swelling went back to how it was before. I'm afraid to let her in the pond again before she's better.
 
I think the space you are using is fine. But I wouldn't let her in the pond sounds like she over did. Maybe a small tub of some kind in her space to bathe in? I like those cement mixing tub for bathing in. Wouldn't hurt to soak in warm Epsom salt water since it's suppose to help with sprains and inflammation.

Thank you. I will start the epsom salt water soaks again today. Maybe that can help with the swelling. Someone mentioned that she may need to have it lanced, but I wouldn't think something like an infection in her bone/joint would require that and could possibly introduce more infectious germs. Of course I don't know but it didn't seem right and made me feel queasy to think about it. I think the most important things for her to recover include time, antibiotics, and food/water.
