Eeeeee, Banty!Julie!! Long time no see.![]()
Doing well, doing well! I unfortunately lost a few to predators and some unknown illness.Eeeeee, Banty!
Yes. Long time no see. I know. I've been on a very long and obsessive YouTube Odyssey with all the channels I watch pertaining to, you guessed it, BURDS! Bald eagles, owls, osprey, falcons, call ducks.
How are you and your birbs?
And I love your humor.
Aww, so sorry about your losses!Doing well, doing well! I unfortunately lost a few to predators and some unknown illness. My remaining four seem to be hanging in there, and hopefully the future call birbs steer clear of the icy jaws of death.
I just love your avatar. So soft. I've had serious finch fever recently and it's taken all my willpower not to acquire a few.
I'm so sorry to hear that, Banty. It's very hard to lose birds or any sweet pet. Otherwise I'm glad to hear you're doing well. That is always good news.Doing well, doing well! I can't keep them all inside---I'd go battier than I already am---but, um, I may or may not be planning on keeping one inside. Shhh.I'm so sorry to hear that, Banty. It's very hard to lose birds or any sweet pet. Otherwise I'm glad to hear you're doing well. That is always good news.
Eeeeee! Call ducks for you. In the future. Can you make them house birbs so that they don't succumb to the cold?
Thank you. That is Jibby, my male zebra finch. He was soft and sweet. He passed last December from old age. I had him for about 8 years. He had a good life but it was hard to lose him. He was survived by his wife Little Bit and she's close to 8 and a bit infirm. I bought another girl to keep her company. Didn't want a horny male cuz he woulda prolly killed her trying to mate her all the time. And she would not have been able to fight him off. The two gurl birbs are pals. I'm glad.
If you do succumb to the finch sickness, get zebras cuz they are cute and beepy and very hardy.
You're hilarious. Ya. I understand. One is enough to keep inside. I can only imagine it's still a chore.I can't keep them all inside---I'd go battier than I already am---but, um, I may or may not be planning on keeping one inside. Shhh.I can't wait.
Aww. Poor guy. I'm glad you still have his gal pal. I've been eyeing society or gouldian finches, but the zebras are also adorable.
I loved having Chrissy inside, but I couldn't imagine two. One is enough to spoil and love lots. You're hilarious. Ya. I understand. One is enough to keep inside. I can only imagine it's still a chore.
Aw. Those are great birds. Gouldians are absolutely gorgeous and societys are very sweet.
No kidding. You're so right. Ducks are way bigger than finches and poop lots.I loved having Chrissy inside, but I couldn't imagine two. One is enough to spoil and love lots.
Thankfully, they do even better in cold weather than the chickens do. Haven't lost any to winter yet.![]()
The poop is why the indoor (undiapered) duck must be a call duck. SO. MUCH. POOP.No kidding. You're so right. Ducks are way bigger than finches and poop lots.
