Good morning, everyone! Daphne has been encouraging her ‘Scovy sisters (by quacking loudly at them) to go out all morning. So far, the record has been two feet away from the barn door. :idunno I know that the ‘Scovies are molting, but I think they need to continue bathing regularly, and some sunlight would do them good.

In other non-duck news, I’ve got to bring my youngest cat in for some chest x-rays this afternoon as he’s been coughing quite a bit since yesterday. He has a history of upper respiratory flare-ups due to a virus he was exposed to at two weeks old. However, that just shows up as sneezing and watery eyes. Coughing is no good. Of course, he’s my “spiciest” kitty, who needs an oral medication for sedation prior to visits, and he still has a bad attitude when sedated . Wish us luck!

Meanwhile, I’ll continue to encourage the ducks to get some fresh air!

So sorry about your kitty! :hugs I pray it gets better! :fl

Thank you all! Just got home with my cat. He was very well behaved, and we were able to get x-rays and blood without issues. He’s definitely having a pretty serious lung malfunction, maybe even a partially collapsed
lung lobe. His DVM thinks it’s more likely an inflammatory response vs. pneumonia, so he has to go on a heavy, but tapering, course of prednisolone for a bit. Hoping his first dose stays down as he did get nauseous from the car ride. I’ve got him locked in the bedroom, sleeping off his sedative and car sickness. Hopefully, the steroid will kick in soon and he will get some relief!

Anyways, back to duck talk. After chilling in the barn all day, it appears that Daphne could use some calcium gluconate :(

Aren’t pets supposed to Relieve stress rather than cause it?! :he:barnie

I hope all of you are having a lovely evening and that you, and your birds, are well! :love

Who wants to play name that colour? This is my beautiful runner girl, but I'm curious what shade of mallard she will be. Shes about 10weeks old. There's also 2 pekin hens, Ferdinand the white runner (named after the duck off Babe) and Oddball with it's multiple crests (feel free to guess that colour too, wouldn't let me get a pic up close)

Gorgeous ducks! :love
Sorry to say, but I'm not good with colors on ducks besides Muscovies and Khaki Campbells. :(

@Miss Lydia Do you know or do you know anyone who would know what colors they are?
