So sorry about your kitty!Good morning, everyone! Daphne has been encouraging her ‘Scovy sisters (by quacking loudly at them) to go out all morning. So far, the record has been two feet away from the barn door.I know that the ‘Scovies are molting, but I think they need to continue bathing regularly, and some sunlight would do them good.
In other non-duck news, I’ve got to bring my youngest cat in for some chest x-rays this afternoon as he’s been coughing quite a bit since yesterday. He has a history of upper respiratory flare-ups due to a virus he was exposed to at two weeks old. However, that just shows up as sneezing and watery eyes. Coughing is no good. Of course, he’s my “spiciest” kitty, who needs an oral medication for sedation prior to visits, and he still has a bad attitude when sedated. Wish us luck!
Meanwhile, I’ll continue to encourage the ducks to get some fresh air!
My Muscovies are still molting, too. Thankfully, they mostly just have to finish growing in their wing feathers, so at least they aren't too naked.Hope your kitty is going to be okay. My scovys are molting to and later than ever this year.
Gorgeous ducks!Who wants to play name that colour? This is my beautiful runner girl, but I'm curious what shade of mallard she will be. Shes about 10weeks old. There's also 2 pekin hens, Ferdinand the white runner (named after the duck off Babe) and Oddball with it's multiple crests (feel free to guess that colour too, wouldn't let me get a pic up close)View attachment 1956609 View attachment 1956614
