Duck or Goose? HELP!

Hey guys! I need your help! Yesterday we had a call of a family that found a baby "duck" in the road and today they brought it over. I'm not totally convinced he is a duck (or a he, but all the same) he is about half the size of a wood duck but he doesn't have any mature feathers for his size. I would think a duckling his size (if a small duck like wood or mallard) would have mature feathers. So I'm kinda convinced he is a goose. We have ducks and geese but haven't had babies
P.S. We named him JimmyJoan. The ducks and geese we have are singers (Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand (or Sinatra), Johnny Cash, Elvis) and we don't know the gender yet so Jimmy Hendrix or Joan Jett.

It is definitely a duckling, and I believe it is a Muscovy. It's not a gosling. It would be happier with a friend-- they hate to be alone.

Goslings look much different. Longer legs, shorter and rounder bodies, more upright carriage, longer necks, shorter head, shorter bills.

The easiest way to tell a goose from a duck is the nose holes.
