Duck Penis Prolapse?

Separate him and put Vaseline on his Penis till you go to a Vet. Keeping him from the ladies is best. Dry clean bedding. Or wait a few weeks till the tissues die and cut off the dead part.
I think we need to agree to disagree on this on a couple of matters.

1. Vaseline - putting on Vaseline will seal in any bacteria. Please DO NOT use Vaseline, it will not help if there are bacteria and could make matters much worse.
2. Waiting - some people do wait and get lucky, like you did, but other people have waited and their ducks died.

Both the pictures and the video are from this morning. I was out with them for about an hour yesterday evening and did notice anything unusual.
Okay, if it's still pink that's good.

Well I only did as advised by a Vet. What I did saved Casanova and his Penis. He still breeds my Hens even after cutting off that piece of his Penis.
I have never heard of a vet suggesting to use Vaseline instead of an antibiotic cream. :idunno

All I am trying to say is that here in the US, I think most vets would recommend an antibiotic cream, not Vaseline. :idunno

Yes vet as he can loose his phallus to necrotic tissue and would not be able to mate again. See article here for best advice. Definitely need antibiotic to prevent infection and necrotic tissue as this is the number one risk factor for prolapsed phallus. Many times will need topical abx and oral. Ducks travel fine in box or animal crate or a plastic tote at home with mulch bedding. :)https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/prolapsed-phallus-in-ducks.74465/

Definitely not infected. He is a randy fellow and it may go back in today.
It sure could be infected, but only a vet would be able to tell for sure.

We first noticed it about 4 hours ago. He is quite the handsome fellow! :)
He is handsome, and maybe it will go back in on it's own, which I hope it does.
