And everything back there looks normal? I'd say she is doing just fine if she laid an egg.
You'd def know if there is a prolapse.

It’s not quite normal- there’s still that strange red lump but it’s a bit darker now
She is acting normal though

If you can get a good pic? Prolapses need to be helped you don't want them to stay out of the body. I wouldn't think she could lay an egg with a prolapse though.

She is much perkier, given her a bath and she has come to sit on my lap. She was quacking for me when I went downstairs this morning! I’m glad you don’t think she has a prolapsed vent - is it just damaged? She laid an egg over night...

Yes you would definitely note a prolapse of the oviduct.
It's still so hard to tell what that is - I don't have ducks, but I do wonder if it's damage from mating since she was roughed up (maybe the male didn't withdraw right- is that feasible - chickens only "kiss" vents, so there's no penetration like with ducks)
It could be a papilloma or possible a cloacal prolapse, but if it's staying in then I would just watch it. The salt baths can be soothing to tissue like that.

Savlon cream and disinfection liquid is chlorhexidene, and good for disinfection and wounds. I do not believe it has lidocaine or benzocaine, just some preservatives. It should be safe.
It looks like her vent is just a little overly relaxed or lost some muscle tone. I don’t know much about ducks though. Here is some reading about savlon antiseptic liquid:

Dettol is another antiseptic that may be available in the UK.

I don’t really see a prolapse so hopefully with warm salt water and some antibiotic ointment etc she’ll be good as new. Drakes can really be rough on a female and sometimes when more than one drake gang rape happens which could def cause some issues. Injuries even drowning if they have water around.

Yes I suspect she was just hurt- it’s beginning to look like a scab or a blister

The issue is that I have no drake and all my ducks are female?!?! Sometimes my other cherry tries to mate with her, but I have never really thought about it before
The others were shouting for her all day and she was replying from inside

Tried to take another picture but it’s so hard to see!it looks the same as yesterday but the lump has gone down a bit. I have been washing her back with chlorexidine/ hibiscrub and her vent with salt water twice a day and giving her oral pain killers but she spits most of it out.

Boy she really got those feathers ripped out. Someone posted a video yesterday of 2 female KC one on the other. The one underneath being very submissive it's interesting almost makes me think of frustrated females. No drakes and hormones are high.

On a side note, the right balanced diet does wonders for our waterfowl! You may want to consider switching your birds to an all flock pellet. It's got all the essentials for your ducks, as well as any other birds you may keep. My flock always appears very happy and healthy with it!
Wounds look better already...hoping for a speedy recovery!
