I just read all the posts in this tread. I must say that Igor is a very special duck. He is a trooper thats for sure. Destiny your care for him is just remarkable. Sorry guys, I got hit by a second wave of sickness. I got the exact same thing! I don't even know where it came from! a couple of my siblings are getting sick again too. *sigh*

His surgery wounds are closed up now, but I can feel a big lump in there still and there's still some heat and swelling

Bless his heart.  He was with you the whole time right?  Did he get all of the antibiotics originally prescribed for him?  I can't remember but did the Vet ever find anything in his foot?

Yep, he was with me the whole time. He is finished with his antibiotics, but he's gonna need some more after the remaining infection gets removed. Yes, there was a TON of infection.

His middle toe has a lot of swelling, I bet there's more infection or something is stuck in there.

Yes, I think there's still more infection.

Even though I was going to pay for the vet trip, my mom didn't think it was worth it to pay the same amount. Besides, we know exactly what to do.

And you can do it

But, speaking from experience having worked at a Vet and of course having many a Vet bills myself... they should not charge the same full price. You might want to call them just to ask what the charges on a 're-check' or call it a 'follow-up.' Good luck either way you go
