Morning here’s a late post but she has grown soo big!

Guys! Big emergency Dixie is missing. Last night she was in the pen. But we could not close the door because the mamma and dadda we’re still out. So we did not close them. My brother was up around 5:00 and he saw her outside. But around 9:20 she was missing. Daisy who is the mom was acting so worried. I need help of where she could have gone????

I’d say a predator, mama really can’t protect their ducklings from anything especially a predator. Very sorry

It’s ok I am most likely gonna order more ducks. I am so sad though

I know it’s always so heartbreaking. Next time mama hatches it’s best to keep them secure for a couple weeks or more because predators are always looking for an easy meal. And one lone duckling just makes it easier to pick off.

I doubt it. They aren’t like chickens she’d never see new ducklings as hers.
