Duckling head deformity

They’re Moscovys! I honestly am enjoying them so much as ducklings. They have very different personalities than my khaki Campbell’s. And eventually they’re all going to don their weird little faces and interesting feathering. I’m psyched!!!

I think muscovies are the greatest! What a lump of feathers you have there!

Thank you very much kind friends. My boyfriend reported to me today that one of the Campbell’s voices is starting to drop. Soon they’ll be all grown up and I’ll be seeing them all off to duck kindergarten and then duck college, immediately after.

I can’t imagine them all growing up to be adults. This is my first duck hatch! My first chicken hatch— they’re all big babies now ( time to sex them, but that’s a different thread I’ll need help in haha) basically full grown chickens.

His little head actually hasn’t changed that much. It looks fairly the same, it just hasn’t been bleeding.

It’s open flesh. But it’s soft and not scabby. It’s just closed. It’s almost like a blister, but it’s still tougher in that it doesn’t drain like one.

Well only thing to watch for if Grape turns out to be female is mating that would not be good with her lil head like that.

Other than that though is she acting normal like the rest of the ducklings?
