They are at least 4 viable eggs, 7 total. I'm giving the last few a couple more days, luckily since Nemo was due before the rest, we got 2 incubators, so I have the questionable ones separated.

So I made a little invention this morning. Nemo can now jump out of the plastic tub we were using as a brooder box for sleeping and I'm afraid to roll over on him, so didn't get a lot of sleep again.

Also today, if I'm locked up with Nemo the dogs cry; if I go out with the dogs, Nemo cries....

I would add ventilation - I would be concerned he's not getting enough fresh air in there.

Unless I missed something .... Certainly a step in the right direction to keep him from hopping out!

I would cut openings in the long sides and duck tape a section of one inch diameter opening plastic poultry fence, or half inch hardware cloth. Nothing with gaps so big that Nemo could hang himself by slipping his head through. I don't want to share ugly visions, but I let myself have "waking nightmares" so that I can avoid tragedy. Because ducklings can get themselves into unimagineable trouble....

Yes, definitely some ventilation! The top might be easier to cut and cover with wire (even with a baking rack or anything with small holes), and be less likely the duckling could reach it.

And if you can't, or don't want to cut holes in that thing, then maybe a strip of chicken wire or welded wire between the sections? At least a couple inches tall.

It's hard to tell, but I have large and smal holes drilled throughout and there is a small gap between the 2. I can always drill more holes
