Hi All,
Some of you know, some don’t that I have two Cayuga ducklings who, right now, are 4,5 week of age.
There names are Stip and Vlerk and they do pretty well.
Last year my male call duck got hit by a car and the female beyond Herself. So we did find her a place to stay.
A breeder who always was on the lookout for fresh white callduck blood.
The day before yesterday he called us and said we could come over and pick up two calls. Today we went and here they are.
two little yellow fluff balls. Around 3 weeks I think they are. No names yet so suggestions are welcome.
When we were there, he told us about a breeder project which he and a top breeder from Giethoorn are working on.
ofcourse we couldn’t resist and so we have two more ducks. The breed is still work in progress.
Female is almost fine, drakes are a bit unstable color wise. But boy are they cute!
Name “Giethoorn Duck”
size of an east indie and colors of a Eend van Vorst (Forest duck I believe in English)
These are still juveniles and believed to be 5-7 weeks old. A boy and a girl
Thought a tread would be nice to follow the progress of all my ducklings.
better pictures and maybe stories will be shared in the future!

. So the lady probably will but the male will have some blue/grey in their feathering.
