Ducks bill is hurt

My duck named shadow has a hole in her bill! She is my faverate duck she has survived a raccoon attack and has gone camping with us her hole isnt to deep and is not bleeding so I think she should be fine but we all love her so much we want to know what has happened to her bill! Thank you ahead of time!!!

Can you put up a picture? My gander punched a hole in his bill several years ago. I looked all over trying to figure out how he did it but never found anything that stood out. But the bill healed fine and can't even tell where it was. I did put some ACV into his drinking bucket to help kill any bacteria from the puncher. 1 Tab of ACV to 1 gal of water.

Have you rinsed off her bill with warm saline? Just to clean any bacteria.

I dont know how good you can the see the hole. But thank you for telling me how to clean it and what to use I have not yet cleaned it yet but will first thing in the morning when I go to let them out.

She will be just fine! Make sure to keep it clean for a little bit, but it will be ok. I had one have her bill shredded!!!
