OMG! My hubby's old Jon Boat.. I said that too him 3 mo's ago.. It has leaned there unused for ...10 plus years.
I thought about a boat theme but it got his motor running.. USE IT OR DONATE IT...

Took this just this evening. I have an article on some of how we did it, if you click on my profile. :D

Did I remember to say that ducks should always have access to water deep enough to wash their nares/face in? My memory is mush lately.

I can't remember either, but no one is expected to remember it all! Adding those to your list would be awesome though. :)

We adore our ducks! I rehab wildlife and keep a parking to help with the young wild ones but she gets lonely in winter so we added some ducklingswith the chickens. We have two Perkins and what I thought was a Cayuga, but might not be. Black and smaller then Perkins but lays white eggs. All my ducks lay around one egg a day. The bad....they are LOUD. And like kids. They hear us come home they are quacking for snacks. They love veg and mealworms. They are messy, love to root in the mud by the pool, that they created. The good....I can sit all day watching them. They dive for peas in their pool. They protect my chickens. They play like kids and are less underfoot than my hens now that they are older. My only wish is really that they weren’t so loud. I’m in a neighborhood and the girls can get going where the whole block hears them. My Asian friends love the eggs though and some of my friends that bake. We love them too but not three giant eggs a day love.
