Ducky's story line thread

I was a bit worried for Azil. What was up? I walked back over to him and plopped onto the ground. "There's something wrong, what is it?" I asked

(Azil )

I jumped out of the hole, yeah it was that deep. I laid down flat beside my brother and sighed in relief. My tension was gone and my nerves were at ease. "Leo I'm fine. I've never been an uncle before. FairStep had her pups, we're both uncle's now, to seven, that's right! Seven wolf pups! How awesome is that? Me digging, was just my way of working off all my nerves, is all." I explained to him the best I could.

I nodded, in understanding. "It is very surprising that she held so many." I joked

I nodded in agreement. "When time comes the pups will leave the den, and we'll be able to see them. They'll see the world outside the den for the very first time. So I guess we would have to be careful." I said, I had never really seen newborn pups, but I never will, that was life of a pack wolf and I had to ignore the urge.

(FairStep)

I needed to leave the cave for a little while. Take care of some personal business and get a drink. I looked over at Elo. He was asleep with the pups curled around him. I smiled, he was a big softie when it came to them. I smiled and headed out. I saw Azil and Leo across the way and nodded to them. I didn't stop though, I just kept going towards the stream. I had such a powerful thirst. As I lapped at the water, I heard the brothers venture a little closer. In order to better protect me, I guess. But the water tasted so good and cold, I dared not stop drinking. It seemed like forever, before I'd had enough to drink. I sat up and sighed in my relief.

I trotted toward FairStep, curiously. I licked the corner of her mouth in greeting, then sat beside her. "Sooo... how are our little nephews?"

(FairStep)

I looked sideways at Leo and smiled happily and said, "They are all very good. However, there are a few nieces thrown in the mix too. Which I suspect, will grow to keep their uncles on their toes. They all asleep with Elo right now." I looked around, to find where Azil was at and found him sitting a little ways back. He slowly got up then and came walking over to me. He too licked the corner of my mouth, before he sat down on my other side of me. So I smiled at him reassuringly. He was always the quiet one.

I nodded. "I can't wait till they are able to come out of the den, I would like to see them join the pack." I wagged my tail a bit
