Ear discharge and swollen ear lobe

I have a rooster that I noticed had a swollen ear lobe, just one, and while investigating it noticed he had some dried yellow discharge on his ear feathers (it was just a little). He isn't acting sick, no caughing or sneezing. Any ideas?

Here are the pictures of my boys swollen ear lobe. It's the one on his left side. I took a picutre of the right side for comparison. Notice the slightly tinged ear feathers as well. Please ignore the yogurt he has all over his face.
