My cousin and his family are fine, as is my High school roommate. Very relieved, and praying for those who might still be in danger.

I'm trying to find some people including one of my daughters that might be there. This this was her last flight yesterday, but hoping I'm wrong.

500 confirmed dead now.

The surges hitting Hawaii are 3-5 feet high and have taken out about 20 feet of coastline. I guess they are moving our way. My daughter is at Vandenburg AFB on the coast in Santa Barbara.

Been texting my family I left behind in the SF Bay Area and haven't heard from some. The city I moved here from and Alameda where my sister and her family live, are two that would get hit pretty good. I've been missing the Bay so bad, but not today. Everyone I know is there.

Still haven't heard from daughter #2 yet. I think she is in Hawaii, probably at or near the airport.

Hawaiian surges have been 3-5 and have taken up about 20 feet of coastline. Not bad considering... However, those waves pick up speed and strength as they head our way. My daughter is in Santa Barbara.....
