Hello all!
New to the chicken world and I have an Easter Egger that's just a day or two shy of 5 weeks.

Last night I put in new perching and turned on the heat lamp for the night. This chickadoo settled into a spot on the perch and let out a few "trills", neck stretched out and all. I also read that some chickens let out happy trills, so crossing my fingers this wasn't a crow

It got me nervous that Darla might not be a she after all...

What's your guess? He or she

Alternate info:
-most skiddish of handling
-looks like a single pea row to me?

I agree, too young to tell yet but a shot in the dark would probably be boy just cause that comb is coming in nicely. But I've been fooled before at that age plenty of times.

Thanks for the guesses! I know it's early, so I'll post again later.

I wasn't sure if any of your experienced eyes would be able to pick out any roo traits in the feather coloration. I see some ''splashes of red", but I'm hoping it could still be a lil lady

It's probably still to early, but I got some clearer pics, so I wanted to post the growth progress photos. Still accepting guesses
