Ebay Purchased Hatching Eggs Experiences Ups & Downs!!!

Ive been a seller on ebay for 10 years now. Not much i havent seen in that time. I think you are being totally fair and i think shes treating you bad. Youve already left feedback but you can leave a follow up statement. And honestly id file an item not as described with Paypal and ebay.

Sellers like this do indeed give all ebay sellers a bad name and they are part of the reason for the change in the feedback system. That said.. as soon as the feedback system changed i had 2 ppl try to hold me feedback hostage. I wont play that game and they chickened out. I quit selling on ebay shortly after that. Just not worth the hassle when you cant tell and honest buyer from a dishonest one by their feedback anymore.

Thank you Gina. That is why I am selling out all my chickens right now just so I will have Marans. I have to figure out what to do with my English Black Copper marans just so they do not get mixed up with my French. I want them to be that different.
But I still wont sell them on ebay. I think I will stick with Word of Month and BYC.

Well, you just hang in there. If, some day,I get all of the breeding pens I want built, I may delve into the Black Coppers. By then you shoud have your flock going and maybe i can be a customer. Good luck.

Oddly, the worst experiences I've had have been with private transactions and local sources.

The ebay sellers I've dealt with have done both a stellar job of breeding and delivering hatching eggs.
But you gotta pick the right ones. Buying from back-lot scrub sellers is not your best bet. Some will be good, but the odds are against it.

I have also noted a disturbing trend, lately, towards selling only 6 eggs at inflated prices. 6 eggs are pretty useless, IMHO, and it appears as nothing more than a shabby ploy to make more money. If they won't sell in dozen lots, I won't buy from these sellers.

Oh ok..... They are still all Marans. Some breeders are just in it for the buck and have no desire to improve the breed and others truely work their tales off to improve the breed so they dont lose the quality. Thanks!
