Sadly, I think you're going to have to retain an attorney.

I wouldn't tackle this without one.

You have won over the police and local government. You've got documented cases of threats and damage to your property. Your birds were properly contained and on your own land. Gap's dogs were illegally at large and on your property. You called the police after the incident. There are a lot of points in your favor. An attorney could also explain whether you have a chance to make a counter-claim for your legal costs.

As far as counter suing, for harassment, emotional distress, trespass. They say it is very hard since I stop the dogs from killing the birds and as for scaring my family that does not count for much. Neither does the trespass charges or dogs at large.

We may have had internal injuries with the way the birds were flying into each other and the feeder and water tank and side of pen not to say what could happen to a chicken that has a 25 pound turkey land on it???? They were rough up with scraps but I stopped the attack. stopped the birds from flying out or the dogs getting in.

But by the way the suite is written they don't believe are birds were in any danger remember they say there is only one dog in the attack too.
