Egg laying Poll ( please check out!!!)

My first layer was my Hoover’s Hatchery EE that laid a little green egg at 18 weeks. The rest of my girls didn’t lay for another 2-4 weeks.

I have Sebrights and Pekins. Chicks were hatched in Nov/Dec and commenced laying the following spring (approximately 9 months later). It's possible they would have laid earlier if kept indoors with lights - but as outdoor free rangers the winter temps and low light means our hens are on a laying holiday

I have Plymouth Rocks purchased on July 15th. The first egg came day after Thanksgiving. It's 1/10 and so far 21 are laying.

I voted! My Barred Rocks and SL Wyandottes (3 of each) began at 18-19 weeks. Not sure how old my other gals were, they were either rescues or purchased from a breeder/ hatcher.

My easter egger hens started around 24 weeks(I did have one wait till 30).

My chickens started laying at 18 weeks. They're Novogen brown layers.

I believe my black sexlinks began to lay before 20 weeks. Not sure exactly what week. That was 3 yrs ago lol. But they were early layers.
