Egg size

My hens have been laying for 10 wks. MY EE lays the same as grocery store large. My RIR lays med eggs. Is this the size they will continue to lay or will they get larger? I ask b/c I have read that RIR usually lay large to x-large. EE I have read vary but mostly large. Also, at first the EE's shells were smooth but a few lately have bumps of extra shell. Is there something that causes that to happen?

The eggs get larger as the hens grow and put on weight. Egg size is also dependent upon much protein they eating. In the winter if they are eating a lot to stay warm, the egg size tends to increase. The calcium deposits on the shells are just a glitch. Not all eggs are perfect...
