Egg Song! Glorious Egg Song!

Is it strange that my 18 1/2 week old BA has laid 3 eggs and I haven't heard her sing the egg song? I haven't been outside when she's laid and I can't really hear my chickens from inside my house unless there's a ruckus bUT do you think I would have heard it if she sang it? I feel kinda jipped! I like the eggs but where's my song too!

We have one BO who started laying at 26 weeks and doesn't sing either. The other's do.

UPDATE: Well, she's pacing...in the coop, outta the coop, in the coop...you get the picture. A few minutes ago she was wailing away and I got up and out to the coop I went. There she was half in the pophole, half out. I spoke to her gently and she squatted. I picked her up and placed her in a nest box and kept petting her and talking. She settled in....for about 10 minutes, then popped back out to the run. Oops! She's back in the coop again now! Clucking away. She doesn't appear to be in any distress, just a girl on a mission and she doesn't really know what that mission is yet. Plus it's so dang HOT today! I'll keep watching the webcam and try to leave her alone....hate this!!

I have a BA that does the same thing. She starts singing and carrying on in the coop, comes out still singing and carrying on and then she gets in the nest and no egg. I've found two eggs in the yard so I'm wondering if they're hers.

Nothing ... nada ... zip. She's been back out in the run with the other girls just scratching around like the past 2 hours never happened. Not a peep out of her.... Having this webcam was great....until today. Now it seems all I'm doing is 'watching the cam' ...aaaack!!

Got my first egg...WHEEEE!!!
As I said earlier today one of my girls was just frantic, talkinig like crazy, in the coop, out of the coop, in and out, drove me nuts! Later this afternoon there she was out in the run with the other girls, scratching away like nothing was going on....drats! I figured she had just given up for today. Anyway, tonight when I was putting them into the coop for the night I walked into the run and over to the pop hole and there it WAS! Laying on the ground at the base of the ramp! YES!

It's a small egg, but perfectly shaped, nice brown color and smooth as silk...so pleased! Just had to tell SOMEbody!
