Brought em home as a day old chicks on May 10th. I've done a bit of reading on sexlinks; I'm not an expert but I don't think I have any?

Thank you for sharing the article. It's definitely something worth knowing.

My suspicions are on my bantam Sebright, but I'll have to do a bit of nibbing to know for sure. Either way, it's a good day!

So about 18 weeks....not so 'early', even for non-sexlinks/high production birds.
I know nothing about Sebrights....except they are tiny and thus adorable.
Congrats!

:clapyaaay!! The first eggs are so exciting! Prepare yourself, you may see a couple soft shells or more tiny eggs, but within a week or two they will get the plumbing working! Also, I'm not sure if it's scientifically proven or anything...but my birds started all together, sort of like human females when their time of the month gets synced...it was really quite strange, all around the same age but 2 different breeds.

It most certainly IS egg-citing! I know about soft shells and I'm looking forward to bringing in a collection to fill up some empty cartons!

Got my first one today as well! Just now, actually. I saw a chicken out of the pen and went to put her back in and noticed not all of them were
