Eggs for nest boxes

If I put some of the kids colorful plastic Easter eggs (yes we are STILL hiding

) in the nest boxes, will my girls lay there? Or do I need some that are more "real" colored?

I use golf balls. My in-laws live on a golf course and golf balls are free to me.

A lot of feed stores sell artificial eggs that supposedly work well. My girls are only 9 wks. old, so I have a ways to go before I have to worry about that! I have heard the golf balls work well - just search for info on this site.

Yeah, I've read about golf balls but I live 45 minutes from the closest place to get golf balls.
