Do you have a local tv station news team? Seems every year I see a human interest story in my local news that has a someone saving duck family that’s crossing the road Maybe they can help you get help, no one likes bad publicity. And even if they can’t help with this group, maybe a story to help prevent it in the future.

A crowbar to get the grill off and a leaf rake may work if it's only 5' down. Lay down and use the leaf rake to get under them and bring them up the side. I wish I could help! Knock on some door of houses near by and ask for help

It's at a hosptial right? Grab some paramedics and see if they will help. There has got to be someone around there that will be willing to help. flag down trucks and cars going by, especially trucks that might have something useful on it
