!!EMERGENCY!! DYING BIRD!!

I’m so sorry about your chicken, it looks like she has a heart issue. She probably won’t make it. It’s so sad to see a chicken be so sick and especially hard to lose one. :hugs
I'll continue to comfort her and aid her in any way I can, thanks for the help. This is truly heartbreaking, her name is Gaemi, she's such a sweet girl.

I know this is so hard for you. Just continue what you are doing. I am not an expert, but am a nurse. Sounds like heart issue if crop is clear. I know it sounds like a cliche, but these things do happen with animals - and people. Find comfort in knowing she has had a good life with you and her flock and that you have done a good job taking care of her.

@shailey, is she the one in your avatar? I ask because the one in your avatar looks like it might have ocular (eye) Marek's, and if they have ocular Marek's, they probably have the one that affects the organs too, which would explain the symptoms you are seeing.
No, she's not. What are the symptoms associated with that, though ?

I have reason to believe one of my 3 year old hens is currently dying. Her comb is purple, she's gasping, she's resting her beak on the floor, etc. I'm considering possible injury? She was laying just before this, perfectly fine, and then she jumped down and stumbled out of the coop. She had bad balance and everything. She won't eat or drink, she's currently on my table swaddled in a blanket. She's sitting, but slumped more to the side. Please help.View attachment 2370316
Any breathing issues? What does her poop look like? Was she vaccinated for Marek's?

Has her comb looked purple in the past? I had a hen that lived to be about 3 but died from heart problems. Her comb looked purple off and on from when she was young.
This has never happened before. She's one of my healthiest hens, she's about 3 already. This happened very suddenly
