paulo, these pics were all taken on dec 1. none are broodcocks but one will probably be by summer. chicago is still my broodcock but wasn't taking any pics of the older asil.
 
Yes, this is true. They generally stay with their chicks much longer than 'normal' chickens; often as long as 6 months. That said, I have never had one go broody in cold weather, but as soon as it gets warm they will sit on anything.
