Excited! Got some duck hatching eggs

So excited! I just gave my broody hen 6 Blue Swedish duck eggs. Here's to 6 healthy quackers in 28 days.

The parents are beautiful! Going to split the hatch with the lady I got the eggs from

I candled the eggs today. All 6 show veins starting to develop. So far so good! Mama comes off every couple of days for 30 minutes or so to eat, poop and dust bathe. She does have food and water right beside her nest as well.

Update! One egg is pipped tonight! If I hold the eggs to my ear, I can hear scratching, pecking noises

We lost one egg. It stopped developing for some reason and turned muddy brown and stared to smell, so I tossed it.

All 5 hatched. Looks like 1 black, 2 blue and 2 splash. Mama chicken is taking good care of her ducklings
