Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

I used only Playtex bottles and nipples for my first baby and will use the same brand for this baby but the bags don't matter. I use the Playtex brand and also the walmart brand. They both fit. Just make sure they say on the box that they will fit playtex and you will be fine.

I got my nursing bras from walmart and love them. I did have to get a size bigger last time and this time around, I am already needing a size bigger than my normal size so I got one that was 2 sizes up since my milk as not come in yet and I am expecting to be much bigger once that happens.

I was wondering the same thing about the cream. I can not remember what brand I used last time but it did nothing for me.

Udder Butter! LOL

I love the description and yes, it's for cows...

Udder Butter Antiseptic, lanolin enriched ointment formulated to sooth sore, raw udder and teats caused by injury or unfavorable weather conditions. Easy-spreading all weather formula lubricates and softens tender udder and teats.

Seriously, though...I'm not sure...there's also Bag Balm which is also for cows but I've heard of women using it...

Playtex bottles/nipples - the Walmart bags do fit fine in those.

Bag Balm or Udder Butter. Yup, maybe supposed to go on cow udders, but exactly what else am I doing with a nursing baby that a cow isn't???? Read the ingredients on the stuff at Walmart - it's all sorts of weird things that I can't pronouce. The Bag Balm and Udder Butter at least I know what's in it.

Bra size - honestly, go get fitted! Our breast feeding store does fitting, and oh that is NICE once you get a nursing bra that actually fits right. With brands for them and pads - it's a YMMV. What I like isn't what the next person likes. Medela is good for me. The pads, I usually prefer reusable/washable, but I'll throw disposables in my bag in case I need extras.

Learn to pack an extra bra and shirt. You will eventually leak thru and gak, I learned that with a baby in the middle of winter so it was then COLD and wet.

Even if the baby wears disposable diapers, a few cloth diapers in the diaper bag are ALWAYS handy. Spit up rags and cover ups if needed. You'll find a use for 'em.

Hey Ladies

Anybody know how I can stop myself from rolling onto my back while sleeping? Doctor and DH both said no sleeping on the back, for fear of cutting blood flow to the baby. I didn't think this would be a problem since I'm not a back sleeper, but I keep waking up on my back and have to roll over to my side. I know the obvious answer is my pregnancy pillow, or any pillow, but they make me feel claustrophobic

One person told me to glue a tennis ball to the back of my jammies, so when I rolled over it would be uncomfortable, and I would roll back. But that would require me wearing clothing to bed...

One person said to sleep on the couch, but I did that while sick with a cough a few weeks ago and was in the most horrible achey pain the whole next day!

I may try my snoogle again, but like I said, it makes me Claustrophobic....

Let me start off by saying that I think the whole fear of sleeping on your back is thing is way over-hyped. If you're not uncomfortable, you're probably not harming your baby at all. Do you think that people 200 years ago had doctors telling them not to sleep on their backs? No, and we're all here today to read this.

With that out of the way - I think your best bet would be to put a single pillow behind your back - just a bed pillow, nothing more. It doesn't have to be extremely large, just something to keep you from laying fully on your back. Those snoogles look like they would make me claustrophobic too (and I love my body pillow while pregnant!)!!

If that's too much for you, you might think about putting a few tennis balls under your bottom sheet - you could potentially even tape them there so they don't move. This should work as long as you sleep in approximately the same place every night. You could also fashion some sort of belly band with tennis balls on it, but that sounds as bad as wearing pajamas to bed

Good luck!
