feeling more and more disappointed each day that he is not here yet! I see my dr tomorrow instead of later this week cause that's all that was open so maybe after she checks me (and stimulates things as the checking always does) I will start into labor. thought after my appt last week I was gonna go into labor, but no. she also got me all excited since I had dilated more.
I am ready to go, or ready enough. Just knowing I am on the cusp is hard and it is getting hard to move about.

got some nursing shirts at a garage sale yesterday. all the animals are healthy, car seat base installed, bag packed, bills paid (for another week)...lets go!

hope you are doin good! it will be funny if you end up going into labor before me since I have been all stoked about it from the knowledge of my dilation and stuff.

Can't wait to hear how it went for rare feathers today, the suspense is killer even for me.

Hello Anne, we have a lot in common. I also have a 5.5 yr boy, 3 yr boy and 1.5 yr girl. My 4th is due May 4, 5 days before my b-day. I'm so excited to have a May baby, I always wanted one. I don't know gender either but, I never have known with any of mine since I have always used a midwife for mine. I'm kinda hoping for another girl since my last was a girl, I want her to have a little sister.

Hey there...my due date is May 4, too...aren't you ready!? I sure am!

Oh, and hey codymax...welcome!

I bet you are ready!

Kelsey, love your nursery. I still don't have my valance up either...think I'll get DH to put it up tonight!

Somebody on the last page mentioned VBAC...
Don't know if I've told y'all, but I'm going to VBA2C; slightly higher chance of uterine rupture, but still a crazy-low number...about 2.??%. I'm just waiting to go into labor; have tried EVERYTHING known to woman to get it going.

Last Friday there was no change to my cervix over the previous Friday. Still 1cm and 60%. I'm due Wednesday, but my next appt is Friday.

BTW, apparently nobody thought my "pumping while walking" comment was funny the other day.

Oh, that's right... I remember we talked about chicken illnesses. I'll tell you that I've lost three more chicks, and there may be a dead one out there now, but my yard is a lake from all this constant rain that I haven't ventured out there today. I've completed the seven days of Duramycin in the water, but somehow I feel uneasy about it. I was really proud of all of the chicks in the brooder pen, and now I feel supremely disappointed.

Anyway, no I don't feel like I might. I feel like I am going to roast this kid until she's preschool age. The whole time though I've felt like her birthday is going to be May 6th, so we will see how keen my instincts are. So far, so good...I've not gone early like everybody thought I would...so chances of me being correct are improving.

I have moments when I think, "I cannot take this one minute more," and then sometimes I think, "Oh, this isn't so bad." In fact, after I picked up my older kids from school today, I was walking in the house and didn't even feel pregnant. The thought I had was, "Maybe that means I'm fixin' to not be pregnant anymore!" (Yes, I think in Texan, hence the "fixin'.")

Wow. I reallly need to check this thread more often.

Rare Feathers- I'm SOOO glad you have a new doctor. Too many of them try to justify their existance by looking for every little thing, no matter how unlikely. I'm glad you found a doc with enought experience to not just lean on the books.

My update: I hit 36 weeks on Saturday so they took me off the procartia (anti contraction medicine) and switched me from Lovenox to Heparin. And, of course, I started having contractions on Sunday. Eight hours straight of regular contractions. I finally went into L&D and after half an hour of monitoring me and checking my cervix they came to the conclusion that it wasn't BH but that they weren't strong enough to open my cervix so I wasn't really in labor yet.

Yay. A couple of hours later (after they released me) the contractions stopped. Mostly. Has anyone else ever had this? Regular, painful contractions with nausia and back pain with nada for a result?

I had this last monday, but for only 4 hours, then they stopped around 1am. They were painful and about 8 minutes apart, by 11:30pm I was having to lean on a chair and moan through them. Then they just stopped. DH and I were both peeved, we had gotten ourselves soo excited!
