It doesn't specifically say that it will help your ribs. It's mostly focusing on the lower abdomen and back. It does help posture though, so that could help your ribs maybe?
rcentner - I know I read that you are 4cm & 90% thinned. I am just in awe that you've not gone yet.
suz - I was just being facetious...I wouldn't ask Rob to do that. Even if I did, he would just tell me NO.
On the baby product thing:
I think it's funny how we each find different things useful/not useful. I think bath thermometers are silly, but another finds them a must-have. One finds changing tables a waste, and another finds them convenient. Looks like we all just have to find what works for us in the home we have & with our personalities, etc. Love it!
I would have to say the most important little extra item that I had was the SwaddleMe blanket -- absolutely priceless! Our second DD has such a wild temperament; it was the only thing that would soothe her for sleeping consistently. We lovingly called it her "straight jacket." I've bought one for this baby, too, on the Babies R Us website.
On the diaper thing:
My first DD was almost a month early, so she was in the newborn size for a while. Seems like she stayed in 1s no time at all, and 2s the longest. Second DD was a couple of pounds bigger so we maybe used Newborn size for 2 weeks...maybe. She was in size 3 the longest. For this baby, I've filled the diaper hanger with Newborn size, and left the other packages intact in case I have to return them for a bigger size. I prefer Pampers b/c I remember Huggies leaking with my first -- that was a decade ago, and so the Huggies we've received as gifts I am going to give another chance. Perhaps they've improved. Of course, I also think it has to do with the baby's body shape, too. It has to be a good fit. I LOVE the way the brand name diapers smell, plus they seem to be softer for baby's sensitive skin. Once my babies get bigger, I just use the Wal-Mart brand diapers (although I try to steer clear of W-M as much as possible).
Yes--I can understand the whole registry thing...about needing/not needing....but what about just wanting things? LOL This may very well be the one & only child my DH & I have--our little girl....spoiled rotten I'm sure!
So why not splurge? Better yet, let others since I will be inviting over 100 people to my baby shower....
So I am signing up for the basics (of course) but lots of little things...I work for the county and while I'm not best of friends with all of the women there--I'm inviting 3 buildings' worth of girls. Plus about 15 friends that are non-work-related (and live here), plus my sisters & mom, aunt and grandmother and sister-in-law...so I need lots of registry options for all budgets.
The thing that ticked me off is that my SIL works for Amazon and convinced me to open a registry with them. Then she calls up my DH and b*tches that she's not getting me anything off the registry because everything I have picked out is "not practical." What!?!? Maybe because I am already registered with Babies R Us and Target and Penney's--so I got the bulk of the "practical" stuff out of the way already?

Where's the "like" button? Oh, yeah, this isn't Facebook...lol
By the way, if any of you girls are on FB, and want to another friend, look me up! Include a message that you are from BYC or send a PM so I don't "ignore." Deanna Fite McCoy
