Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

I would agree with Suzettex, 250-350 the first month. A better question may be how long your baby will actually FIT in newborn diapers. My DD only fit in them for 2-3 weeks, so if I had bought even one Costco/Sam's club sized box, that would have been WAY too many (although my DD grew abnormally fast, too). I know I went through at least one full box of size 1s, at least 1 of size 1-2s and 2 or 3 boxes of size 2s, then she stayed in size 3 for a while. The problem with using outgrown diapers is that they have a LOT more blow-outs with them (i.e. poop up the back), so I would try to switch as soon as I felt that things were even a little too small.

Another resource to keep in mind is Amazon.com Moms. I think you can get a 30% discount on diapers, plus free shipping for a year. I know that I'm going to sign up as soon as my LO is born, if not before.

THANK YOU for the tip on Amazon diapers Spingchicken! I had NO idea about that! Guess it requires a tiny bit of forward planning, but what a convient way to get them!

Greenfamilyfarms- GREAT picture! Did you just graduate from something?

Suzettex5 - glad to be of service. I was over the moon when I learned that, especially since Amazon tends to have stuff cheaper than stores anyway!

I think that I just spent the best $40 of my life today! I've been having back pain for a while now, especially when I have to work at the computer for long hours, so I finally broke down and bought a maternity support belt. OMG, this thing is amazing!! I was stupid enough during my last pregnancy to believe the woman who taught my childbirth classes who told me that they were a waste of money... I will never be that dumb again. I've only been wearing it for about 3 hours, but what an incredible difference! I am pain free!

I got it at Motherhood Maternity - it is Loving Comfort brand... its just called maternity support. I tried on this one and one other brand in the store (super nice sales lady), and this one was far better (if a little more expensive, but IMO, that extra $20 was worth it!).

ETA - which one did you get? LOL, never mind!

Well, pooh... the one you have looks a little more comfy where the band goes under your belly! It never occured to me to go to Motherhood. It's almost an hour drive though. Plus, I had a $25 giftcard to Amazon, so that was a decisive factor.. It should be here the middle of next week. I will try it out, but if it isn't as comfortable as yours looks, back it will go! I do want relief, but not at the expense of comfort..

My ribs are KILLING me. Just on the left side, up near my armpit--the same place I broke them a few years back. I have a very tipped uterus so the larger it's getting, the more pressure I am feeling on my ribs. They feel broken again.

Sitting for long periods of time makes it worse....if I have to sit for a long time, I have to rise my arms above my head to help relieve the pain. I wonder if one of those belts would help my ribs?
