Ultrasound complete! What we found out: We have a hardheaded child. Yes, we couldn't tell the gender this time. The first thing that popped up on the screen was his/her head and the tech said, "Well, the baby is breech, so I can't really tell anything about gender today." She couldn't even give us a percentage because the baby was sitting on it's butt. Couldn't see a thing about gender. Oh, well! Hubby has given me the go-ahead to get another one done in a couple of weeks. If we don't find out then, it will be a surprise!

She said measurements look good and we got to see the heartbeat on the screen, and arms waving around. It was still neat to actually see what's going on in there. It made things feel a little more real.

I wonder if Baby Green will make it's sex known. That is what I am fretful about, that he or she will be 'shy' during the u/s. I'm planning on having sugar cereal and a cup of coffee before going in on Friday.

Other news, the crib that we had as a hand-me-down is Babi Italia Gina. I contacted customer service last week do get the conversion kit to stabilize the sides (it's a drop down) and they told me that because it's a 10yr old crib (looked like the sticker said manufactured in 4/2001) that they cannot give out any kits as it is not recommended to use cribs older than 10yr. I was furious. I said only because I missed it by 2 months??!! I guess it goes by year, not actual date. So... I called today, was manufactured in 2004 'but couldn't tell for sure as the sticker was worn by the drawer' and now they are sending me the stabilizer kit!!! Yay!

It was a belly (dermal) US. I'm 18.5 weeks, so I still have some time to find out if we want to and he/she wants us to know.

Okay--the clinic just called. I failed my diabetes test.

She said the high end of the normal range was up to 140 and mine was 162. So now I have to go back in on Monday for the three-hour test.
